Compassionate, Empowering and Authentic Support for Women
LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
ABOUT CHERYL
Hi, I'm Cheryl.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping clients heal, reconnect with who they are, and navigate life's transitions with clarity, passion and purpose.
I have a warm, supportive style with a healthy dose of directness, swearing, and humor. I use an eclectic approach grounded in science, while merging art, breathwork, energy modalities and a touch of the woo.
I specialize in self-abandonment, anxiety, depression, religious trauma, women's empowerment, PMADs, TFMR, life transitions, OCD, and self-esteem.

MY STORY
Why I do this work
Before I became a therapist, I was an archaeologist — and honestly, the work isn't that different. Both ask you to piece together a full picture from fragments: what's been buried, what's been left behind, what the past is still quietly driving.
I've always been the person people turn to. The problem solver. The caretaker. The one who holds it together. So when I found my way into social work, it didn't take long to realize that the therapeutic side was where I truly belonged.
But here's what I don't always say out loud: for most of my life, I was doing all of that while quietly falling apart on the inside. Anxious. Overwhelmed. Completely disconnected from myself.
Therapy changed that. It gave me permission to stop performing and actually start healing — and that experience is at the heart of everything I bring to this work.
I sit across from my clients not as someone who has it all figured out, but as someone who knows what it feels like to carry too much for too long. And I know what's possible when you finally put it down.
HOW WE WORK
My Approach
You deserve a life driven by clarity, passion, and purpose — and I'm here to help you find your way back to it.
Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, disconnected, or running on empty, and uncover the patterns that have been quietly running the show. My style is warm, direct, and real — genuine support with a healthy dose of humor and the occasional f-bomb. Therapy doesn't have to be stiff to be transformative.
I work with women navigating that particular exhaustion that comes from showing up for everyone else while slowly losing yourself. I have extensive experience with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, burnout, life transitions, self-esteem, and perinatal mental health (including TFMR).
If you've been quietly setting aside your own needs, voice, and identity for so long you're not sure who you are anymore — you're in the right place.
My approach draws from a rich toolkit of proven therapeutic models alongside art therapy, breathwork, energy healing, and the woo. I'm less interested in surface-level coping and more interested in going beneath it — finding and healing the roots so real, lasting change becomes possible.
This is not a one-size-fits-all space. You'll be met as the whole, complex, capable person you already are. Real change doesn't start with fixing yourself — it starts with accepting yourself, exactly as you are right now.
You don't need to earn rest, worth, or care. You just need a therapist willing to walk beside you while you remember that.
